The presence of his family turned the red carpet into a heartfelt, intimate moment

Guillermo del Toro arrived at the Venice International Film Festival to unveil Frankenstein, one of the most anticipated and personal projects of his career. But beyond the excitement surrounding the film, the red carpet took on a warm and intimate atmosphere thanks to the presence of his daughter, Marisa del Toro, who quickly became the revelation of the evening.

With a modern yet elegant style, Marisa dazzled during her first public appearance at an event of this scale. Her look was minimalist with natural makeup, and sleek hairstyle. A style that instantly stood out as one of the best fashion moments of the festival, drawing the cameras and the admiration of guests alike.

Accompanied by the director’s wife, screenwriter Kim Morgan, Marisa drew comments not only for her elegance but also for her striking resemblance to her father, from her smile to her expressive features. While it’s unknown if she plans to pursue a career in the arts, her debut in Venice made one thing clear: she carries herself naturally and confidently on an international stage.

Guillermo’s Lifelong Dream

Del Toro finally presented the version of Frankenstein he had been dreaming of for nearly six decades. Inspired by Mary Shelley’s novel and James Whale’s 1931 classic, the film is backed by Netflix and stars Jacob Elordi and Oscar Isaac, raising anticipation even higher. The premiere concluded with a 13-minute standing ovation, cementing the night as one of the most heartfelt milestones in the Mexican filmmaker’s career.

Beyond the artistic achievement being celebrated during, the moment carried an additional significance. Guillermo del Toro was celebrating his most ambitious film with his daughter by his side, proving that even among monsters and fantasy, it’s family love that shines brightest.

A Star-Studded Cast

Part of the excitement surrounding Frankenstein comes from its acclaimed ensemble. Jacob Elordi who took on the role of the Creature, bringing intensity to one of literature’s most complex figures, while Oscar Isaac portrays Dr. Victor Frankenstein with a mix of ambition and obsession.

The cast also includes Mia Goth, known for her standout performances in Pearl and X, further raising expectations for del Toro’s reimagining of the gothic classic. With such talent attached, the film is already being called one of the year’s most anticipated cinematic events.
