Enrique Iglesias and Anna Kournikova are growing their family again! The couple, who already share three children, are expecting their fourth baby later this year. The singer, who turned 50 in May, and the retired tennis star, 44, are “overjoyed” about the pregnancy, a trusted source close to the couple tells ¡HOLA!.
Kournikova, now halfway through, was recently photographed in Miami looking sporty and casual, her baby bump clearly visible as she took her kids to school.
Iglesias and Kournikova are already parents to 7-year-old twins, Lucy and Nicholas, as well as their 5-year-old daughter, Mary, whom they also affectionately call by her Russian nickname, Masha.
The singer, who celebrated his 50th birthday in May, and the 44-year-old former tennis star welcomed twins, Nicholas and Lucy, in 2017, and daughter Mary in 2020.
Will Rumors Turn into Reality?
Speculation about a new pregnancy began earlier this summer when Anna was photographed during a casual day of errands with her daughters. Dressed in unusually oversized athleisure, she appeared to be concealing the first signs of her baby bump.
The timing also raised eyebrows; the photos were taken just as Enrique returned to perform in Spain for the first time in six years, a major moment in his career.
Anna’s absence from that concert fueled talk on both sides of the Atlantic, especially given medical advice for pregnant women to avoid long-haul flights. Now, Hola! can confirm what fans had been hoping: the pregnancy is real, and everything is going smoothly.
Enrique and Anna have been together for 24 years, ever since sparks flew in 2001 on the set of his hit music video “Escape.”
A History of Surprise Announcements
The arrival of this baby will mark the ninth grandchild for Enrique’s mother, Isabel Preysler, who already dotes on Alejandro and Sofía (children of Chábeli Iglesias), Miguel, Mateo, and Martín (children of Ana Boyer and Fernando Verdasco), and Enrique and Anna’s three little ones.
And if the couple’s track record is any indication, baby No. 4’s arrival won’t be announced until after the birth. Their twins were kept under wraps until just before or even after the babies arrived.
In 2017, for example, fans were shocked when photos of Iglesias and Kournikova leaving the hospital with newborns surfaced unexpectedly. Even family wedding guests had no idea Anna was pregnant at the time. Only afterwards did the couple share tender hospital photos, which quickly went viral.
Their third child, Mary, was also a surprise reveal. Only months before her birth, paparazzi photos of Anna on a yacht in Florida confirmed what had been mere whispers.
Their Private Life in Miami
The family lives quietly in Miami’s ultra-exclusive Indian Creek Island, where their neighbors include Jeff Bezos and Ivanka Trump. Despite Enrique’s superstar status and Anna’s legendary tennis career, the couple leads a low-key life, focusing on their children.
Enrique remains one of Latin music’s most prominent global stars, with every new release charting internationally. Yet in recent years, he has scaled back public appearances to prioritize fatherhood. His return to the Spanish stage in Gran Canaria this summer brought the house down, but it was also his first show there in six years.
The couple’s new baby is expected by year’s end, becoming the ninth grandchild for Isabel Preysler.
Anna, who was forced to retire from professional tennis in 2003 at the age of 21 due to a back injury, has fully embraced motherhood. The rare times she’s photographed today are almost always family moments. Even earlier this year, when she appeared in an orthopedic boot after a minor household accident, her focus remained firmly on her kids.
Meanwhile, Enrique is deep into his international tour, performing everywhere from Mexico to Bulgaria. Still, he’s often said that fatherhood changed everything for him, so much so that he refuses to be away from his family for more than two weeks at a time.
As he shared last year at the Los40 Music Awards in Spain: “I’m in relax mode, at home, with the kids, enjoying school runs, watching them grow. They change so fast. In 24 hours, they’ve already grown, and I don’t want to miss a thing.”
