Georgina Rodriguez and Cristiano Ronaldo broke the internet earlier this month when they announced their engagement after dating since 2016. After years of rumors that they secretly got married, it all got put to bed when she showed off the GIANT diamond ring, speculated to be valued at no less than $6.5M, with some guessing it could be up to $15M depending on the stones.
The ring, estimated to be between 30 and 45 carats, depending on the jeweler you ask, is one of the most luxurious celebrity engagement rings, and she will probably have to take it off for safety in some instances. But she has another option. On Wednesday, she shared a gallery of photos dripping in diamonds, and the engagement ring was nowhere to be seen.
In its place was another huge diamond ring, also gifted by Ronaldo. In April 2025, the estimated $4 million ring made its appearance. The emerald-cut diamond, thought to be 20 carats, had fans going wild thinking he had finally proposed, but it turned out to be like a very expensive promise ring.
As for why she ditched the engagement ring, the shoot was probably taken before the proposal.

Rodriguez announced the engagement on social media with a photo of the huge ring, which received some criticism online. "Yes, I do. In this and in all my lives,' she wrote in Spanish.
"Love is the raw material for any dream," she wrote in a follow-up post on her IG story. The couple has not revealed how the soccer star proposed.
Before the proposal happened, some fans thought they would never get married. It's a question the couple got time and time again after dating for nearly a decade.
