Matt Damon and his wife, Luciana Barroso, are attracting attention in Ibiza this week as they showcase their toned bodies during a sun-soaked vacation.
The 54-year-old actor and his wife were spotted relaxing aboard a luxury yacht, taking a break from Damon's current project—filming Christopher Nolan’s cinematic adaptation of The Odyssey.
Damon showed off his chiseled abs and muscular arms in a pair of swim trunks, while Luciana stunned in a black bikini that highlighted her toned midsection and long, lean legs.
The couple’s love story began in 2003 when they met in Miami. At the time, Damon was filming Stuck on You, and Luciana was working at a local bar. In a 2018 interview with Vogue, Luciana looked back on their first encounter.
"Matt's story is that he saw me across the room and there was a light on me. And I'm like, 'Yeah, it was a nightclub — there were lights everywhere!'" she joked.
She also recalled how Damon, already gaining fame, was getting overwhelmed by fans that night.
"He had started getting recognized and asked for pictures and autographs, and then it got kind of aggressive because people are drinking and stuff," she explained. "So he came and hid behind the bar… [wanting to] just hang out back there and have a drink. He says, 'Oh, I saw you and I really wanted to talk to you."
The chemistry between them was instant.
"We definitely had a connection right away, it was so easy to talk to each other, we were very comfortable [with each other], and by the end of the night, he invited me to go out with his friends," Luciana shared.
But as a single mom, she had other priorities—and Damon respected that deeply.
"I was like, 'I can't, I have a four-year-old daughter. I'm not going anywhere'… and that was one of the things he loved, that I had a daughter," she recalled.
The couple married in September 2005 and have since built a family together. They share three daughters—Isabella, 19, Gia, 17, and Stella, 14. Damon is also the proud stepfather to Luciana’s daughter from a previous marriage, 25-year-old Alexia Barroso.
