Legendary country musician Billy Ray Cyrus, father of Miley Cyrus, surprised everyone with a direct message to Bad Bunny expressing his desire to attend the musical residency "No me quiero ir de aquí" at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in Puerto Rico.

Cyrus was in London working with Puerto Rican urban artist Chesca, and she was the one who clued him in on Puerto Rico's cultural wave, the Bad Bunny phenomenon, and especially the famous pink casita where El Conejo Malo hosts his exclusive garage-style parties.

In a video circulating on social media, the singer speaks directly to Benito: "Hey Benito, it's me, Billy Ray Cyrus. I'm here with Chesca in London, breaking and making music. She's been talking to me about you, talking about the things and your little casita. You let me know when I can go to Puerto Rico. I'll be there, and we'll celebrate life, love, and joy with all your fans. See you in Puerto Rico."

 Boricua Culture

The collaboration with Chesca seems to have sparked Cyrus's genuine curiosity to experience Latin urban music and the island's energy firsthand. It's not every day that a country music star puts Puerto Rico at the top of their travel list, much less attend a concert that is already considered a living chapter in reggaeton history.

Bad Bunny's "No me quiero ir de aquí" show celebrates his identity and roots. With a setup that blends intimacy with spectacle, the residency has become a meeting point for thousands of fans and a magnet for international celebrities.

Puerto Rico's Most Famous "Casita"

Among those who have already experienced the pink casita are global stars like Penélope Cruz, Javier Bardem, Austin Butler, Anthony Ramos, and Luis Guzmán. The vibe has also drawn elite athletes such as LeBron James, Damian Priest, Kylian Mbappé, Achraf Hakimi, and Formula 1 driver Esteban Gutiérrez. Artists like Quevedo and Sech have also joined the party. On August 11, 2025, Oscar-winning couple Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem were in the VIP section of the stage. Cruz joined Bad Bunny to introduce his song “VOY A LLEVARTE PA PR” and shouted, “¡Acho, PR es otra cosa!,” in front of thousands of fans.

If Billy Ray Cyrus manages to make the trip, he would join this select group, bringing country music into the heart of reggaeton and writing a new chapter in the kind of unexpected cultural crossovers only music can make possible.

Bad Bunny has yet to respond to the invitation publicly, but the very idea of seeing Billy Ray Cyrus at a concert in the Choliseo, and maybe even singing alongside Benito in the casita, is already headline-worthy viral material.

If it happens, Puerto Rico won't just welcome another high-profile visitor; it will witness how two musical worlds can come together to celebrate what unites us.
