When Victoria Kjær Theilvig was crowned Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico, she made history. At just 21, the Danish beauty became the first-ever Miss Universe from Denmark, clinching the title in a pageant that's seen winners from around the globe but never from her home country. And now? She took that crown straight to Colombia.

Victoria landed in Medellín on July 29 as an honored guest at Colombiamoda 2025, the biggest fashion week in Colombia and one of Latin America's most celebrated cultural events. Miss Universe opened the Lugó Lugó runway show, a major moment that's already turning heads in the global fashion scene. "ColombiaModa you were fun," she wrote on Instagram.

The brand's new collection,  "Abelardo y Eloísa," mixes high fashion with high tech. The show took place on Tuesday, July 30, at Hotel Dann Carlton, where Victoria was also staying during her Medellín debut.

Colombiamoda 2025

Colombiamoda is no ordinary fashion event; it's three days of fashion, business, culture, and creativity packed into every corner of Medellín. This year, from July 29 to 31, the festival was bigger, bolder, and more spread out than ever before.

The numbers speak for themselves, as the event had 25+ runway shows, 60 venues across the city, 600 brands from 14 regions of Colombia and 100+ official events.

The fair's heart remains at Plaza Mayor, but the celebration has officially spilled into the city streets. From rooftop shows to museum exhibits to immersive fashion experiences, Medellín became a full-on style capital for the week.

Big players on the runway this year included the legendary Agua Bendita, Leal Daccarett, Franklin Ramos, Punto Blanco, Socarrás, Offcorss, and Go Rigo Go!

The event featured cutting-edge techwear as well as tradition-rooted artisan pieces. With Miss Universe front and center, Colombiamoda stepped into an even more international spotlight.

Why Victoria Kjær Theilvig Is More Than a Crown

Since winning Miss Universe, Victoria has embraced her platform with both elegance and drive. A passionate advocate for mental health and gender equality, she's proven that she's a force. Her participation in Colombiamoda marks her first official trip to South America and reflects Miss Universe's evolution into a brand that blends fashion, activism, and global inclusivity.

Her presence at Colombiamoda is also a nod to the increasingly interconnected worlds of pageantry and fashion. These events are no longer in separate spheres; they're working together to tell bigger stories, amplify bolder voices, and celebrate beauty in all forms. "Miss Universe is not a model... she is there to carry voices... to speak on behalf of others... she is the very representation of the world," a fan wrote on her Instagram.

With its innovative energy, colorful neighborhoods, and growing creative scene, Medellín has become one of Latin America's most exciting fashion cities. Colombiamoda, organized by Inexmoda, is the crown jewel of that movement.
