Travis Kelce debuted a bold new haircut as he geared up for the upcoming NFL season during the Kansas City Chiefs’ training camp. The tight end was seen sporting a fresh buzzcut while joining his teammates on the field in St. Joseph, Mo., on Sunday.
He appeared in high spirits throughout practice and, at one point, draped a white towel over his head.
Fans were quick to react to Kelce’s updated look on social media. One lamented, “rip the luscious locks.” Another chimed in, “Noooooooooo, I loved 90s’ heartthrob Trav!” while a third joked, “an angel lost its wings.”
Now 35, Kelce returned to the field to begin preparation for the 2025-26 season after spending the last few months training privately in Florida, where he’d been renting a $20 million mansion.
Chiefs head coach Andy Reid told reporters that Kelce “looks like he’s 20” thanks to his offseason focus on fitness.
“He’s svelte right now,” Reid said on July 24. “He’s doing a great job. He’s in great shape. You can see he’s been working out."
Kelce also opened up about his training regimen during a press conference last month.
“This year, I got some time to really focus on some form running and some things early on in the offseason that I just didn’t have time for last year,” he shared.
The New Heights podcast host said he was “certainly feeling good,” and believes that his hard work will “pay off.”
In addition to training, Kelce spent much of the offseason with his girlfriend, Taylor Swift. The couple, both 35, were spotted on several date nights in Florida and New York City during his break from football.
Kelce also posted previously unseen photos from their quiet getaway to Montana in March — one of which showed the couple posing at a dinner table, with their matching black-and-white lock screen images visible. A source told People that Kelce’s intimate photo collection was his way of showing just how serious his relationship with Swift has become.
