Donald Trump Jr. and girlfriend Bettina Anderson made headlines over the weekend for their very public displays of affection at Teterboro Airport in New Jersey, stealing the spotlight before even arriving at the FIFA Club World Cup final on Sunday, July 13.
Wearing matching white button-down shirts, the couple were all over each other as they waited for President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump to join them for the historic soccer match at MetLife Stadium. This year marks the first time the U.S. has ever hosted the global tournament.
Their affectionate appearance follows another sweet moment at a Sublime concert in Miami. Since first sparking romance rumors in December 2024, the pair have been spotted at high-profile events like the amfAR Gala in Cannes and Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans.
By January 2025, the relationship had grown so serious that a source told Page Six the pair were “essentially living” together. “When it comes to his relationship with Bettina, it’s just about them,” an insider told Us Weekly. “He wants a partner. She doesn’t need anything from him and just wants to be with him.”
Their connection has stood out, especially in contrast to Trump Jr.’s former engagement to ex-Fox News anchor Kimberly Guilfoyle. The two split amicably in late 2024 after a six-year relationship, with a source noting the breakup happened “before the election” and the asset division began around September.
Trump Jr. said in a December statement, “Kimberly and I will never stop caring for each other and will always keep a special bond.” Despite the split, Guilfoyle remains a significant figure in the Trump circle. President Trump has since appointed her as U.S. Ambassador to Greece. “I could not be more proud of her and the important role she’ll continue to play in my father’s administration,” Trump Jr. added.
Photos from the tarmac show the couple kissing, holding hands, and embracing. Their PDA continued inside MetLife Stadium, where they were spotted sharing a kiss from the stands as they watched the final game alongside the former president and first lady.
