Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are opening up about some of the things that bother them about their relationship. In an episode of "Live with Kelly and Marc," the couple discussed age gaps and what they consider to be the perfect age difference between a couple.
Ripa and Consuelos shared that they think an age gap between one and three years is fine, with them revealing that she is six months older than him. Still, she Ripa a bone to pick. "Every day that I wake up aging 6 months more than you…." Ripa said.
"It bothers you," said Consuelos.
"It bothers me," she continued. "Like, I resent the fact that you just aren’t aging. At all. In any way. Not even a little bit." Ripa joked that she was "resentful" and that it was all Consuelos' fault.
"He just now started to get three gray hairs, and he’s like, ‘Can you see it? Can you see the gray hairs?’" said Ripa. "If I plucked out my gray hairs, I'd be bald. Completely bald. Totally bald."
Ripa's journey with her hair
Over the past, Ripa has opened up about her hair and the journey she goes through to avoid going gray. In an episode that aired on June, Ripa revealed that she spent 11 hours trying to dye her hair blonde, yet still found the results unsuccessful.
"We sprayed my roots this morning," she said to the audience. "We sprayed the roots with the darkening spray. So I don’t know what to do at this point. Do I just become full Mrs. Claus, or what am I doing?"
"Try out the gray," said Consuelos.
Still, Ripa isn't ready to make that leap. "I don't think I'm there yet," she said. "I told you, my hair isn't like, it's not a great gray. It's almost translucent. It's like my hair is see-through. What is it called? Those cellophane noodles. That's what my hair looks like. What do I do with that?"
