Kim Turnbull has finally spoken out following her recent breakup with Romeo Beckham and the controversial rumors linking her to Romeo’s older brother, Brooklyn Beckham.
On June 16, the model and DJ took to her Instagram Stories to clear the air and address false claims that she had been involved romantically with Brooklyn.
“I’ve avoided speaking on this topic to prevent adding fuel to the fire, however it’s come to the point where I feel the need to address it so I can move on,” she wrote, adding, “I will not continue to receive harassment or be embarrassed on the basis of lies, to fit a certain narrative.”
The model firmly denied the rumors, explaining, “I have never been romantically involved in ANY capacity at ANY point with the person in question. Nothing between us has occurred further than a school friendship at age 16.”
She concluded her statement by emphasizing her desire to “remove myself from the ongoing conversation & set the record straight for the sake of everyone involved.”
The news of Kim and Romeo’s split became public earlier this month. Sources confirmed to PEOPLE on June 4 that the couple had ended their relationship after less than a year together. The pair had first made their romance public in November 2024 via Romeo’s Instagram Stories, and they appeared together in several posts during a family trip to New York City that same month.
Their breakup comes amid reported tensions within the Beckham family. According to insiders, Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz, who tied the knot in 2022, have had a strained relationship with other family members, largely due to disagreements surrounding Turnbull’s involvement with Romeo.
A source told PEOPLE that Brooklyn and Nicola requested a separate gathering with David and Victoria Beckham for David’s 50th birthday in May, wanting to avoid being in the same room as Romeo and Kim. However, the couple was turned down and did not attend the main celebration.
