Paris Jackson had a spicy response for critics who took issue with her performing on the anniversary of her father, Michael Jackson’s, death. The notoriously feisty star delivered a blunt and sarcastic “f**k you” via her Instagram Stories on Friday to anyone calling her out.

“So, people are mad again,” the 27-year-old singer began in a series of videos. “One of the tour dates I’m supposed to be going out on tour with Incubus and Manchester Orchestra happens to be June 25, which is a very negative anniversary for me in my life and my family.”

On that date — Wednesday, June 25 — Paris is set to perform at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. The timing coincides with the 16-year anniversary of her father’s passing. Michael Jackson died at age 50 on June 25, 2009, following a heart attack caused by a drug overdose.

Paris explained that the scheduling was out of her hands: “So, what I guess I have to explain to these people is that when you’re first of three, and you’re not headlining these shows, you don’t pick what date you perform or what time you go on stage to perform, or what city you perform in,” she said, emphasizing that the decision was made by the tour’s “big boss” headliner.

She also pointed out that, as a support act, she wouldn’t be enjoying any perks or luxuries while on tour.

“First of three also doesn’t get a tour bus. You get maybe a sprinter van, which I’ve done before when I’ve got a band with me. But I’m not going to have my band with me this time,” she said. “It’s just me and my acoustic guitar and my sound guy, who happens to be my fiancé,” she added, referring to Justin Long, whom she confirmed her engagement to in December 2024. “So we’re gonna be in a soccer mom van.”

Paris continued, offering more context on her role in the tour, saying that performing doesn’t come with any special privileges, and that touring has been incredibly challenging in the past.

“Also, why the f**k would I make a big fuss about it?” she asked, adding that she actually pursued the opportunity herself. “This feels like [Incubus is] doing me a favor by bringing me out on tour,” she shared. “So [what], I’m gonna tell ’em, ’Sorry, guys, we can’t perform on this date?’” she added sarcastically before addressing her critics directly: “F**k you.”

Paris was announced as one of the opening acts in March, joining Manchester Orchestra on Incubus’ Morning View + The Hits tour across the U.S. and U.K. The band shared their enthusiasm in a social media post, writing, “Beyond excited to have @parisjackson out on our [tour]. Can’t wait to see you all there.”
