Rosalia is getting ready for his acting debut. Kind of. The Spanish actress has long been invested in the art form, appearing in a brief role in the Pedro Almodóvar film "Pain and Glory." She's scheduled to star in the third season of "Euphoria," a series that she's long been a fan of, and has opened up about the intimidating task of acting alongside actors she loves and admires.
Rosalia opened up about the experience on the Met Gala's red carpet. "It's my first job. I’m learning. I’m figuring it out,” she said to Vogue co-hosts Teyana Taylor and Ego Nwodim.
“It’s been very inspiring to be with these amazing actors. It’s great.”
Over the past months, fans have been able to catch glimpses of behind-the-scenes moments on the set of "Euphoria," including photos of Rosalia shooting scenes with Alexa Demie, and Zendaya engaged in a screaming match with series newcomer Priscilla Delgado. These glimpses mark the first inklings of a story that fans have been waiting for since 2022, when the second season of the series was first released.
Rosalia confirmed her involvement with "Euphoria" in February, sharing a statement discussing how much she loved the show. “If there’s anything that excites me as much as creating a good melody or writing a great lyric, it’s becoming a better performer every day,” she said.
“Euphoria has been my favorite series over the last few years and I couldn’t be happier and more grateful to be acting alongside all of these incredibly talented people that I admire so much and contributing my ‘granito de arena’ to bring Sam [Levinson’s] vision to reality to make magic. I can’t wait to share what we’re doing!!!”
Rosalia's ties with 'Euphoria'
While this marks Rosalia's debut on the set of "Euphoria," she's long held ties with the series. In 2021, she released the song "Lo Vas a Olvidar," with Billie Eilish, which was featured on the series' soundtrack. The song was the lead single from the first season's soundtrack and was used in the special episode of the series focused on the character of Jules, played by Hunter Schafer.
Rosalia and Schafer have also developed a long-term friendship and confirmed that they dated in 2019.
