Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner don’t usually head to Paris, France, to go to court, but if they’re going to be there, they’re going to look good doing it. The mother-daughter duo showed up for Kim’s testimony in the ongoing jewelry heist trial, serving major looks.
On Tuesday, the 44-year-old took the stand, testifying about the 2016 robbery. For the occasion, she wore a black, vintage, tailored John Galliano suit and a reported $3 million diamond necklace.
According to Susan Scafidi, founder of the Fashion Law Institute, the outfit choice was powerful and intentional. “Kim Kardashian is appearing in the role of victim and survivor,” she told WWD. “Kardashian’s look would be wrong for an accused wrongdoer, but it is well-chosen for an anticipated judicial victory.”
She added, “Whatever the outcome of the case, the ensemble is a winning combination — would that every crime victim who relives a terrifying moment in court were protected by a metaphorical suit of armor and the hardest of gems.”
Kris matched her daughter's energy in an oversized plaid blazer with a tie, black trousers, chunky loafers, and a slicked-back hairstyle, sending a clear message that she was there to support and protect her daughter.
After court, the pair stepped out in Paris and were spotted leaving Le Voltaire restaurant. Kim changed into a chic brown midi dress with sheer paneling, croc leather heels, and a matching leather coat with fur accents.
Kris kept it classic in an all-black look with a long layered skirt and a black velvet cardigan with pearl embellishments.
On Wednesday, Kim and Kris were seen leaving the Ritz hotel. Kim wore a beige fur robe-style dress over a sheer bodysuit, paired with a somewhat surprising accessory: a blue baseball cap.
The look was confusing, in the best way.
Kris, staying true to her polished aesthetic, wore an oversized burgundy suit with a matching tie, bag, and shoes, plus her signature black sunglasses.
It’s unclear how long they’ll stay in Paris, but with the trial expected to wrap by May 23, we could be in for more epic KarJenner fashion moments.
