Jennifer Lopez is embracing a new chapter in her life. The artist, actress, producer, and more is getting ready to embark on a world tour, one that was postponed last year and was followed by her divorce from Ben Affleck. In a new interview, Lopez addressed her life and the challenges she lived through the past year, including the talk she had with her twins Max and Emme about her divorce and the impact that would have on their lives.
Lopez spoke with the Spanish publication El País, sharing her excitement over returning to the stage after a six-year absence. She also spoke with clarity and openness about her divorce from Affleck.
She revealed how she prepared her kids for the change. “I said, ‘I promise you, this is a difficult time, but you’re going to see that I’ll come out the other side stronger and better.’ I promised them that and I did it. And they feel it now. That gives me a great sense of peace in my life,” Lopez said.
Lopez revealed that she's proud of how she handled the curves that life threw her way, especially of the fact that she was able to act as a rock for her children during a stressful time.
Why Lopez is ready to go on tour
Lopez revealed that the peace she's found with herself and her life at this current moment is one of the reasons why she's thrilled to be kicking off her tour, and provide audience members with a unique experience.
“I’m happier that I’m a step further along than I was a year ago, two years ago, three years ago… I’m proud of myself for that, and I’m proud that I was able to navigate my children through difficult times, that they’re stronger and better because of it," she said.
"So, it’s a great time to go out there and dance and sing and have a good time with everybody."
“This is a perfect time," she concluded.
