Malia and Sasha Obama rarely share a look into their private lives. The daughters of Michelle and Barack Obama are often photographed living their day-to-day in Los Angeles, where they're seen hanging out together or spending time with their friends.
Last week, the sisters were featured on their friend's Instagram post, posing for a rare photo together.
Malia and Sasha attended the release party for Destin Conrad's debut LP, with him sharing a post of the party and some of his closest friends.
The post provides viewers with a look at the party and celebration for Conrad, showing a packed venue with friends having fun, laughing together, and dancing. One of the images shows Conrad flanked by Sasha and Malia, who smile brightly for the camera.
Malia wore a leather jacket and styled her hair loose and curly, while Sasha wore a tight white tank top that showed off her stomach, and paired it with low-waisted jeans and a belt.
Both women looked stunning and happy for the occasion.
"i got 2 celebrate love on digital twice with my loved ones in LA and new york my heart is so full and my album comes out tonight, im the luckiest ever, we had a f*ckin time thank you to everyone who came to celebrate me i love u guys much," wrote Conrad in the post's caption.
The difficulty of leading lives out of the spotlight
While Sasha and Malia successfully avoid the spotlight, Michelle Obama revealed how challenging it was to allow the girls to grow up peacefully while being the children of one of the world's largest global figures. "That was a lot of work," said Michelle in the program "Let's Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa."
"And it got harder as they got older."
While Michelle made it clear that Sasha and Malia had all of the teenage experiences, it was up to their parents to keep that information away from the media.
"They had drinks, they tried smoking, they did all the things," she said. "And every weekend was a nightmare because we had to work to make sure that them being regular teenagers didn't wind up on Page Six."
