Lauren Sánchez had a fun return to Earth following Blue Origin’s first all-female spaceflight. The media personality, who is preparing for her lavish wedding with Jeff Bezos, received a special gift to mark the milestone from none other than the Kardashian family.
The author received a cosmic accessory courtesy of her celebrity inner circle. Following the April 14 space mission aboard the New Shepard rocket, Lauren took to Instagram to show off a dazzling post-flight gift: a Judith Leiber Couture clutch designed to look like a UFO.
The bag, which is completely encrusted with baguette and geometric crystals was originally retailed for $6,995 before selling out online. Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, and Khloé Kardashian wanted to send Lauren a special gift after her time in space.
“We love you and are so proud of you!” Jenner wrote on her Instagram Stories after resharing Lauren’s post. The space-inspired clutch was a glamorous nod to the milestone flight, where the all-female crew visited space.
Khloé and Kris were present on the ground at the West Texas launch site to support Lauren. During the livestream Khloé opened up about her reaction to witnessing the liftoff and landing firsthand.
“I literally had chills all over my body from the second it launched until the moment I just saw it land,” she said. “And it's sort of hard to explain because I don't think you think you would be that emotional. But it's incredible. It takes your breath away. I feel like I have all this adrenaline, and I'm just standing here.”
Khloé admitted the experience made the idea of traveling to space “a little more enticing.” Meanwhile, Jenner said: “You can go on behalf of the rest of us,” she joked. “But I think we'd all drag you off of the tarmac before we let you go up.”
