The legal battle between Daddy Yankee and his ex-wife Mireddys González appears to be far from over. After filing a lawsuit against his ex-partner demanding millions in damages, the singer has responded to her motion, citing "insults and falsehoods" in her allegations, as well as a scheme involving another performer.

Through his lawyers, Daddy Yankee denied the allegations against Mireddys and her sister Ayeicha, stating that both have taken "concerted action" against him along with producer and singer Rafael Pina, known as Raphy Pina.

“Contrary to the infamy alleged by the defendants (...), after the change of administration ordered by the Court, there has NEVER been a transaction or series of transactions in excess of $100,000 in the corporations that disregard or breach the commitments made,” stated his legal team in response, according to EFE News Agency.

Daddy Yankee's team accused Mireddys and her sister of attempting to “introduce into the court record; photos, communications, and claims that have nothing to do with the interdictal litigation,” which they considered, in addition to “attempting to corrupt the proceedings before this forum, constitutes an abuse of rights and a lack of respect for judicial authority, which cannot be accommodated in our judicial system,” they added.

The Puerto Rican singer's response also stated that Mireddys and Ayeicha's motion is "an irresponsible, unlawful, and unethical action" and whose only explanation is to use "this illegally introduced evidence as a media tool and narrative."

The legal conflict started last year when it was revealed that Daddy Yankee had sued Mireddys and Ayeicha González for attempting to transfer $100 million from the corporate bank accounts of his companies El Cartel Records and Los Cangris to their personal accounts.

Since the first hearings in the San Juan Court in December in Puerto Rico, it was agreed that for any transaction over $100,000, both parties must be aware of the transactions. Although at that time it was said that the singer would resume the presidency of his companies, in January it was learned that it would be his daughter Yamilette Ayala.

What was Mireddys' motion about?

The motion filed by Mireddys González alleged that Daddy Yankee has failed to submit a monthly report on the financial affairs of his companies El Cartel Records and Los Cangris, a claim also established by the courts.

She also alleged that "the plaintiff and his attorneys have deliberately opted for the most extensive, costly, and tortuous procedure possible, with the clear objective of generating unnecessary financial strain and artificially prolonging the litigation."

Another point raised in the motion relates to the singer's new lawsuit against his ex-wife. She considered it "alarming" that the singer is seeking to demand $250 million from his ex-wife for breaches of fiduciary duties, breach of contract, and damages.
