Mikey Madison and Demi Moore had a chance to bond during awards season. The pair received multiple accolades, as both were recognized for their incredible performances in 'Anora' and 'The Substance' respectively.
The two stars competed in the Best Actress category, with Mikey taking home the award. Fans of the pair took to social media to share their mixed reactions. However, Mikey has nothing but good things to say about Demi, revealing that she sent her a message after the Academy Awards.
During her latest interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Mikey posed with her Oscar statuette, and praised Demi for her 40-decade career, and stated that she is excited to see what she does next.
“I texted with Demi [after the Oscars], who I adore," she said to the publication. "She’s one of the sweetest, kindest women I’ve ever met, and I’m so grateful that I was able to meet her and witness her brilliance and talent in person."
Mikey continued, "I adore her and I can’t wait to see what she does next, what kind of characters she brings us. I think we’re all so ready and excited to see that."
Meanwhile, Demi congratulated Mikey for her win and shared her love and appreciation for this time in her career. "As this awards season comes to a close, I’m so overwhelmed with gratitude for this journey," she wrote on social media sharing a behind-the-scenes video of her preparation for the highly anticipated ceremony that took place in Los Angeles on March 2.
"It’s been the ride of a lifetime and we’re just getting started!" she wrote. "So grateful for my team, my fellow nominees, and everyone who has made this experience so full of joy and light. Thank you to the cast, crew, and fans of [The Substance] and [Coralie Fargeat]."
She continued, mentioning Mikey in her caption. "It’s been such an honor to work alongside you, learn from you, and celebrate this film with you. And a huge congratulations to [Mikey]— can’t wait to see what you do next."
