It's no secret that the pair successfully built a blended family during their time together, spending quality time with their kids during their marriage, as they were also creating a strong bond.
After the divorce was filed, Jennifer and Ben's kids were seen spending time together despite the split of the former couple. The actor's daughter, Violet, was also spotted with JLo multiple times, as well as his son Samuel. However, it seems like the bond is no longer as strong as it once was.
According to reports from the Daily Mail, the 18-year-old Yale University freshman is no longer interested in being in the middle of their failed relationship. An insider detailed the reason why Violet cut ties with Jennifer following the divorce.
The insider mentioned what Violet's mom, Jennifer Garner, thought of the situation. "Jen supported her daughter getting close to the singer because she always puts her children first. But as the divorce loomed, the fact that Violet was hanging out with JLo and wearing her clothes was odd to the family," the source explained.
Violet also made headlines for being close to Jennifer's sister, Lynda, and documenting one of their outings a few months ago, which the family also thought was strange. "So too was Lynda Lopez visiting Violet at college. But Jen even let this slide because she wants Violet to be happy and respects that, as an adult, she can choose who to spend her time with even if Jen does not necessarily agree," the insider continued.
"Violet started to see how upset her father was that their split was at the center of everything. Ben never said a word about JLo," the source added, explaining that "Violet is highly intelligent and will ultimately always be a daddy’s girl. This is why you do not see her on public outings with JLo anymore."
