Elsa Pataky's family is celebrating. Her brother, the filmmaker and photographer Cristian Pietro, has welcomed his new daughter, sharing some stunning images of baby Gia.
Prieto and his wife Silvia Serra welcomed their second daughter earlier this week, sharing photos of the baby on their social media. Gia was welcomed by her parents and her elder sister Ona, with Serra delivering the baby in her home of Byron Bay, Australia, where the family has lived for the past couple of years.
The family lives close to Pataky and her husband Chris Hemsworth, with both family units spending plenty of time together.
"Gia has arrived to complete our family," wrote Serra in an Instagram post. "Heart is so full and couldn’t be happier!"
Prieto also shared various stunning images of Gia, including a black-and-white image of the baby holding onto his finger, Serra's pregnant belly as her daughter Ona touches it and smiles back at the camera, and the moment when Serra introduced Gia to her older sister.
In the post's caption, Prieto shared his biggest fear when becoming a parent for a second time. "My biggest concern when having a second daughter was the fear that I may not be able to love her as much as my first," he wrote.
"That fear went away the moment I first saw her. I’m in love again."
The post was met with a warm and sweet reception, including a like from Elsa Pataky. Prieto and Serra married in 2018, hosting an intimate and romantic wedding in Spain, which was attended by their family.
The couple has a warm and positive relationship with Pataky, with her often sharing photos and posts showing all of them together celebrating some of the most important holidays, like Mother's Day.
"Back in Australia celebrating Mother’s Day The Spanish way with my favourite paella," wrote Pataky on a post shared last May, showing herself, her mother, Prieto, Serra, and their daughter Ona. The family unit smiles for the camera, and pose proudly in front of a delicious-looking paella, boasting shrimp, lobster, and all manner of delicious ingredients.
"Hope you all mum’s had the best Mother’s Day," concluded Pataky.
