Ricky Martin’s 16-year-old son, Valentino, is proving to be a cosplay king! The teenager, who is one-half of the famous singer's twins, along with Mateo, has been building a following on social media, sharing some of his hobbies with his fans.
On Monday, the teenager, who usually shares dance videos, shared a gallery of photos cosplaying as one of his favorite anime characters, Satoru Gojo, from the iconic Jujutsu Kaisen.
He included photos from the show to show just how much he transformed into the character, even striking similar poses as him.
Dressed in black trousers and a white shirt, Valentino made sure he nailed all the details to fully bring the character to life: a white wig, blue contact lenses, and, in some shots, dark glasses like Satoru’s.
Fans of both Valentino and the show were obsessed with how much he nailed the cosplay. “Totally the same!! Those photos are so good,” one wrote. “It looks great on you @tino_mart1n, I love your costumes,” and “Beautiful Satoru. You look just like him," read more of the comments.
At the time of this publication, the celebrity kids have 66.k followers on Instagram. He had the support of over 5k thousand who liked the post, one of them being his famous dad, who made sure to show his support with a "like."
Ahead of his cosplay, the teenager shared clips of Satoru Gojo, telling fans of what was to come. For those unfamiliar with the show, Satoru Gojo is a powerful shaman and teacher of the hit anime and manga series by Gege Akutami.
The Martins take Japan
It's no secret that Valentino loves anime, and his passion even took him on a family trip to Japan. In May 2024, Ricky discussed his love for it in an interview with Nicaraguan broadcaster Martha Debayle while promoting his Apple TV+ series Palm Royale.
The singer revealed that it was a shared passion between Valentino and Matteo, and they had been asking him to visit the country. “They’ve been asking me for years, ‘Dad, we want to go to Japan because we’re obsessed with anime art. Please, let’s go to Tokyo," he shared.
When Ricky finally made it happen, the twins handled the itinerary, turning it into their dream trip. “Now they’re obsessed with Japan and can’t wait to go back,” he added.
