Kelly Ripa is making sure Christmas goes smoothly every year. The media personality made a shocking revelation about her husband, Mark Consuelos, during their latest episode of 'Live with Kelly and Mark,' confessing that she takes on the Santa duties during Christmas.
Kelly explained that Mark has not "shopped for anything for Christmas in 30 years," and she makes sure that the special day goes just as planned for their kids, 27-year-old Michael Consuelos, 23-year-old Lola Consuelos, and 21-year-old Joaquin Consuelos.
"Since we’ve been together, I have watched you actively not shop for anything," she said during the episode, joking that viewers should stop by their New York City home to "watch Mark arrive as an honored guest.”
“And then he is shocked, shocked, I tell you, at his thoughtfulness with what he got me, the kids,” she continued. “He’s amazed. He’s always like, 'That’s what you wanted, right?’ And I’m like, 'Yes, it’s exactly how I wanted it.'"
Mark went on to share another detail of their Christmas celebration, admitting that he is not a fan of one of the things that come with opening the presents. "As people are making a mess, I’m just slowly throwing it away," he said. "You've never seen anything like it,” Kelly said, joking that “Christmas is not allowed to look like it happened there."
"I don’t mind it happening," Mark said, explaining that "The boxes and the gifts... It makes me nervous and it makes me eat.” The celebrity couple is now saying goodbye to their studio in the Upper West Side in New York during their holiday episode.
“A building is concrete, steel, windows, walls, and floors. But sometimes a building is more than that. Sometimes, a building is home,” Mark said, sharing that they “have a lot of history here on the corner of 67th and Columbus.”
“We’ve had so much fun and collected so many special memories. We may be leaving this building soon, but we’ll never forget Live‘s first home,” Kelly added.
