Philippos of Greece and Nina Flohr try to keep a low profile in their daily lives, despite being one of high society’s most visible couples. He is the youngest son of Constantine of Greece, brother to Queen Sofia, and a great-great-grandson of Queen Victoria, like Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip of Edinburgh, and of Anne-Marie of Denmark.

She is the heiress of VistaJet, the world’s leading private jet company, currently owned by her father, Thomas, one of the richest men on the planet, with an estimated fortune of €1.92 billion.

The couple’s romance began in 2018, they became engaged on September 1, 2020, and tied the knot a year later in Athens. Their wedding marked Greece’s first royal wedding in 57 years.

In Mozambique, Nina fulfilled one of her life’s ambitions by opening the Kisawa Sanctuary.

"My dearest Philippos. I love you today, I will love you tomorrow and forever. You make us happier, better and stronger. I cannot wait to spend the rest our lives together," Nina wrote after the Greek prince proposed during a vacation on the island of Ithaca.

Following their ceremony, the newlyweds began a new life between New York and Mozambique, where Nina achieved a longtime dream by opening a sanctuary and conservation center in 2017.

Nina describes her project as a space that celebrates culture and community while fostering a profound connection with nature, supporting marine research.

Reflecting on their travels and experiences in Mozambique, the socialite recently shared a carousel of her favorite moments from their visits. "Throwback: to the many HAPPY days spent across Africa over the years," Nina captioned the breathtaking images that document their life in Mozambique during the periods they lived there.

In Mozambique, Nina fulfilled one of her life’s ambitions by opening the Kisawa Sanctuary, a luxury retreat featuring a spa specializing in traditional Chinese medicine, and the Bazaruto Scientific Research Center, both on Benguerra Island.

Nina describes her project as a space that celebrates culture and community while fostering a profound connection with nature, supporting marine research.

Nina Flohr moves in elite social circles and has cultivated a close friendship with Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie of York. She was among the select guests at the baptism of Athena, Beatrice’s second daughter with Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, for whom Nina is godmother. It was a public event that marked the reunion of Sarah Ferguson and the former Prince Andrew following the personal scandals that had impacted their royal standing.

Philippos’ father, Constantine, was the last king of the Hellenes and a brother to Queen Sofia, sharing ancestry with Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip of Edinburgh. Philippos was born and raised in London, where Constantine and Anne-Marie lived during exile, allowing the Greek royals to share enduring experiences with the British royal family.
