Prince Albert’s son Alexandre Grimaldi rubs shoulders with America’s Sports Dynasty, the Hunts

Five months ago, Monaco warmly welcomed billionaire businessman Clark Hunt. Now he returns the favor shown by the prince and offers his son a night at the top of American sports.

From the Palace of Monaco to the stands of Arrowhead Stadium, Alexandre Grimaldi, the son Prince Albert had before marrying Princess Charlene, keeps strengthening his presence among the world’s most exclusive circles. His recent visit to the Kansas City Chiefs’ stadium, home of one of the NFL’s most iconic teams, was more than a courtesy stop. It was a statement of connection with one of the most powerful families in American sports, whom Prince Albert hosted at his palace a few months ago.

Clark Hunt, the current president and CEO of the Chiefs, is the grandson of oil tycoon H. L. Hunt, who is said to have traded poker winnings for oil rights. Now 60, he has led the team into a golden era with multiple Super Bowl titles, earning a reputation as one of the league’s most respected executives. Hunt also projects the image of a family man, always seen with his wife Tavia and their three children Gracie, Ava, and Knobel, the only son who is being groomed to follow in his father’s footsteps. In that sense, the Hunts resemble royalty, as all of them play a visible role in their family’s public and corporate life.

In the photos shared by Grimaldi, it is Tavia and Gracie Hunt, mother and daughter, who handle the welcome at the stadium. They are the most well-known members of the family, not only for their public roles as club ambassadors but also because both were crowned Miss Kansas USA 28 years apart.

Grimaldi’s trip to the United States comes five months after Prince Albert of Monaco welcomed the Hunt family to the Grimaldi Palace. “Still floating from the most magical time in Monaco!” wrote Tavia Hunt alongside an album showing how warmly they were received in the Principality, a visit that coincided with the Monaco Grand Prix. She further wrote, “Endless thanks to Mike and Paola Powers and H.S.H. Prince Albert for an unforgettable evening at the Palace to Sir Philip and Tina Green for a dazzling dinner aboard the Lionheart; and to Red Bull Racing for their world-class hospitality at the Grand Prix.”

Grace Hunt, the magnate’s eldest daughter, Miss Kansas 2021 and the face of the club, made sure to give Alexandre Grimaldi and his friends a warm welcome at the stadium.

The Hunts made the most of their European getaway, heading from Monaco to the Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France, one of the most exclusive and storied hotels on the French Riviera. A symbol of luxury, elegance, and privacy for over a century, it was a favorite of Grace Kelly before she met Prince Rainier of Monaco and was popularized in the United States by icons like Elizabeth Taylor and F. Scott Fitzgerald, among others. The Hunts wrapped up their trip with a few days at Lake Como, a prelude to their traditional family vacation in Hawaii.
