Queen Rania of Jordan led the opening of the second regular session of Parliament this Sunday, joined by Princess Rajwa Al Hussein and her daughter, Princess Salma bint Abdullah. For the occasion, the Queen chose one of her favorite shades, sky blue, wearing an outfit that struck the perfect balance between formality and sophistication. Standing beside her, Rajwa, who is quickly proving to be a stylish heir to Rania’s elegance, once again showed that grace runs deep in the Hashemite Royal Family.

The dress is made of silk and features one of her favorite colors

The Queen chose a Valentino Garavani design in sky blue silk, a light and fluid piece that captures the refined sophistication that defines her style. The midi-length dress, with an A-line silhouette, is made of jacquard fabric featuring the Italian house’s iconic “VLOGO” pattern. Its signature detail is the built-in necktie, which can be worn loose over the front or tied into a bow, adding a touch of movement and character to the look.

This piece, part of the brand’s prêt-à-porter line, reflects Pierpaolo Piccioli’s vision of reinterpreting classic elegance with a modern and feminine approach. Meanwhile, her daughter Salma chose a short-sleeved black midi dress, and Rajwa opted for a shirt dress with utilitarian touches in a soft gray tone.

The bag: Fendi’s handcrafted icon

As her main accessory, the Queen chose Fendi’s Peekaboo bag, in its small version made of handwoven cappuccino-colored calfskin. Launched in 2009, the Peekaboo is one of the Roman brand’s most iconic pieces, celebrated for its dual-compartment structure and signature twist-lock closures on both sides. Finished with gold hardware and an adjustable shoulder strap, the model Rania chose perfectly embodies the balance between functionality and craftsmanship.

The jewelry, sunglasses, and beauty look

The outfit was completed with a camel-colored belt that defined the waist and balanced the dress’s proportions. Rania added tortoiseshell-frame sunglasses, contemporary white gold earrings, and natural makeup with soft lips and subtle eyeliner that highlighted her eyes. Her hair, worn loose with a slight lift at the crown, added a touch of freshness and light to the look, keeping the natural elegance that defines her public appearances.

Blue, her personal signature

For Queen Rania, blue is more than a recurring color in her wardrobe; it has become a symbol of her visual identity. Her most memorable appearances confirm this, from diplomatic meetings to official portraits. On her 55th birthday, the Hashemite Royal Court released a photo of Rania wearing the Adami dress by Solace London, in an icy blue shade that illuminated her figure. That design, with Japanese-inspired wide sleeves, perfectly captured the essence of her style: refined, modern, and effortlessly elegant. In her latest appearance at Parliament, the Queen returned to that same color palette to convey a sense of continuity and institutional calm.
