The Princess of Wales' brotherĀ James Middleton was feeling particularly "proud" the night of the state banquet for President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump. The James & Ella founder reacted to the photo of his sister and brother-in-law, Prince William, that was shared by the Waleses' social media accounts prior to Wednesday's dinner.
"Proud to be š¬š§," James commented on the picture.
James' eldest sister stunned for the occasion, wearing a couture gown by British designer Phillipa Lepley with a full-length, hand-embroidered gold Chantilly lace evening coat over a silk crepe gown. Her Royal Highness' coat featured hand-embroidered roses with couched gold cording, accented with French knots and satin-stitched blooms.
Catherine completed her regal look with her go-to tiara, the Lover's Knot Tiara, and earrings that belonged to the late Queen Elizabeth. The Princess also wore the Royal Family Order of King Charles III, the Royal Family Order of Elizabeth II, the Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order, GCVO star and sash.
Catherine walked into the dinner at St Georgeās Hall alongsideĀ Tiffany Trump's husband MichaelĀ Boulos, and sat between him and the President of the United States. In his remarks at the lavish banquet, the president praisedĀ King Charles' "remarkable son" Prince William and called Catherine "radiant."
"To see Her Royal Highness, Princess Catherine, so radiant and so healthy, so beautiful. It's really a great honour," President Trump said.
Catherine received another compliment from the president earlier in the day as she and William greeted the American president and Mrs. Trump on the grounds of Windsor Castle. āYouāre beautiful, so beautiful," President Trump told Catherine, via the New York Post.
On Thursday, the Princess of Wales teamed up with the First Lady for a joint engagement in Windsor. The pair visited Frogmore Gardens, where they met with Chief Scout Dwayne Fields and members of the Scoutsā Squirrels program, as they learned about nature to achieve their "Go Wild" badge. Ā
Both the Princess and First Lady were given badges during the outing, and the Scoutmaster presented Mrs. Trump with his neck scarf. Alongside footage from the engagement, the Waleses' social media accounts wrote: "Celebrating nature with @FLOTUS , Dwayne Fields and @scouts šæ Today's activities show how time spent appreciating the natural world can inspire young people, as well as nurturing the values of friendship and cooperation."
