Members of the British royal family came together for the Duchess of Kent's funeral service. The Prince and Princess of Wales stepped out on Tuesday for the requiem mass held at Westminster Cathedral. For the service, Catherine recycled the same black Catherine Walker coatdress that she wore to Prince Philip's funeral back in 2021.

A number of royals joined the Duke of Kent and his children — George, Earl of St Andrews, Lady Helen Taylor and Lord Nicholas Windsor — and grandchildren at the mass, including King Charles, Princess Anne, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, the Duchess of Edinburgh, Lady Gabriella Windsor, Prince Michael of Kent, Lord and Lady Frederick Windsor, Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson. While Queen Camilla was originally set to attend the mass with her husband, she did not accompany His Majesty to the service on Sept. 16. According to the BBC, Her Majesty sent her "deep regrets" at having to miss the service because she was recovering from acute sinusitis.

The Duke of Kent's late wife converted to Catholicism in 1994. As a Roman Catholic, it was the Duchess' wish to have her funeral at Westminster Cathedral. Her funeral marked the first royal Catholic funeral in modern history.

Following the mass, the Duchess' coffin will be taken by hearse to the royal burial ground at Frogmore, Windsor.
