The Prince's Palace of Monaco commemorated the start of the new school year with photos of Jacques and Gabriella in their matching FANB polos and with their backpacks. Gabriella appears to be in on the Labubu craze, as she had a baby blue Labubu clipped to her school bag.

The siblings twinned in their red polos while Jacques wore jeans and Gabriella donned a pleated navy skirt and a bow in her hair. The twins were pictured sweetly holding hands in one photo as they faced the camera, and walking hand-in-hand away from the camera in another. Solo shots of the young Prince and Princess were also released, in addition to a photo of Jacques and Gabriella with their proud mom and dad.

Alongside the images, taken by Michaël Alesi, the palace wrote: "This Monday morning, Hereditary Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella returned to school. A new academic year full of discoveries, friendships, and adventures awaits them. The Princely Family wishes all students in the Principality a wonderful start to the school year!"

Two days before their return to school, the twins stepped out with their parents for the traditional Monegasque picnic on Sept. 6. According to the palace, the event, "organized by the Monaco Town Hall, marks the end of summer and brings together the Monegasque community every year around the Princely Family, in a friendly and festive atmosphere."

This past summer was an exciting one for the royal family. In July, Prince Albert celebrated 20 years on the throne. Charlene, Jacques, Gabriella and other members of the Monégasque attended a celebration for the anniversary held in the palace square.

Princess Gabriella also stepped into the spotlight in July during a visit to Carladès with her twin brother and parents. In Vic-sur-Cère, the Princess, who is Countess of Carladès, inaugurated a square in her name and received the keys to the city from the mayor. Later in Mur-sur-Barrez, where she inaugurated a media library, Gabriella took a microphone and said (translated to English), "Hello and thank you Carladès," before blowing a kiss. A month earlier, in June, Gabriella and Jacques joined their parents in welcoming France's President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron as the couple began their state visit to Monaco

Prince Albert told Monaco-Matin (via Monaco Life) back in 2023 that there was "no precise age at which" Gabriella and Jacques would start performing official duties. Albert said at the time, “We will wait and make that decision when the right opportunity presents itself. We are very careful to move slowly towards these obligations, and to not overexpose them when they are too young. When they are older, of course, they will become more involved in different activities, events, ceremonies… It’s important to do things gradually, without forcing [them].”
