The Wales children are growing up! The Princess of Wales spoke about her kids as she returned to public duties on Thursday. While speaking to well-wishers, the mom of three said, in a video shared on social media, "They're getting big now."
She added, "George is already in my shoes."
According to PEOPLE, when one individual revealed that they were outside of the Lindo Wing at St. Mary's Hospital when Catherine gave birth to all of her children, the Princess shared her thanks. "It only feels like yesterday," she is quoted as saying.
Prince William and Catherine's eldest child, Prince George, turned 12 over the summer. The royal couple celebrated their firstborn's birthday with a photo of George posing with his arms on a fence in Norfolk. A video featuring George with his younger siblings, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7, was also released to mark the occasion.
Prior to his birthday, George joined his parents and sister at Wimbledon. The Wales family reportedly vacationed in Greece this summer, and were also spotted heading to a church service in Scotland in August.
Catherine's joint engagement with Prince William on Thursday marked their first official public appearance in weeks. The Princess showed off her lighter hair as she and the heir to the throne visited London's Natural History Museum's newly transformed gardens. The royal couple also met with children and young people taking part in learning programs. The Waleses' social media accounts shared pictures from the outing, including one of Catherine holding an umbrella in the rain, writing: "Mother Nature made a surprise cameo at the @natural_history_museum! ☔️ Even with the rain, it was great seeing how the gardens and National Education Nature Park programme are helping young people to connect to nature, combining outdoor learning with wellbeing activities."
"And a pleasure hearing from students of Kendar Primary in Lewisham and Co-op Academy Manchester about projects to support nature and biodiversity," the caption continued.
The engagement took place the day after William and Catherine's children returned to school. Per the Lambrook School website, the new term began on Wednesday, Sept. 3.
