Being compared to Grace Kelly is a compliment for the late Princess' granddaughter Camille Gottlieb. Over the years, the 27-year-old daughter of Monaco's Princess Stephanie has drawn comparisons to her maternal grandmother, Princess Grace. "When I was very little, I was often told that I looked like my grandmother. For me, that's one of the best compliments anyone can give me," Camille admitted to Gala magazine, translated to English, as she got ready for the 2025 Monaco Red Cross Gala.
"But it was especially my mother [Princess Stephanie] who said to me: 'Oh my, now you really look like the grandmother of the angels.' In certain ways of acting, even with the look," she added. "I've always been close to the Palace staff and they always say to me: 'You look a lot like Her Highness Princess Grace."
Camille paid tribute to her grandmother Grace, who died in 1982, with her Monaco Red Cross Gala look this year. "It's an honor to pay tribute to her tonight," she told Gala magazine. "I hope she'll be proud of me from up there. I'm definitely very happy."
For the occasion, Camille wore a bespoke design by Elisabetta Franchi that was inspired by a dress the Princess wore in the 1954 Alfred Hitchcock film Rear Window. "It's a custom-made outfit, so I'm very, very happy. It's Elisabetta Franchi, the Italian brand, who created, designed, and designed the dress from A to Z. We were inspired by a dress of my grandmother's, which is a little modernized and adapted for the Red Cross Gala," Camille told Gala. "I already saw it earlier, it's truly magnificent."
Camille completed her look on July 12 with her hair styled in an elegant updo and Cartier jewelry. Like Camille, Formula 1 driver Charles Leclerc's girlfriend, Alexandra Malena Saint Mleux, paid homage to Princess Grace at the event, wearing a stunning custom dress by GUÉRIN Paris that was inspired by the iconic blue chiffon number the late Princess wore in 1955's To Catch a Thief.
Saturday's gala took place at the Salle des Etoiles at the Sporting Monte Carlo. Camille and her brother Louis Ducruet and his wife Marie Ducruet accompanied their uncle Prince Albert and aunt Princess Charlene to the gala. In a moving speech at the event, which coincided with the 20th anniversary of Prince Albert's ascension to the throne, Charlene told her husband (translated to English), "You know that I will always be by your side, along with all the Monégasques. We are with you, wholeheartedly, to protect Monaco and its future at your drive. We love you, support you and thank you for being there for all of us."
