King Felipe of Spain traveled to the UK to cheer on Carlos Alcaraz in the 2025 Wimbledon gentlemen’s singles final. His Majesty attended the match between Carlos and Jannik Sinner on Sunday, seated in the Royal Box on Centre Court.

While the King wasn't on hand to see Carlos win Wimbledon last year, Casa de S.M. el Rey celebrated his victory at the time, writing on X (translated to English): "Congratulations @carlosalcaraz for returning to glory on the grass at #Wimbledon2024. Another great milestone in your career. A perfect blend of courage and talent, that's your tennis. 👏🏻."

Felipe was last in Wimbledon's Royal Box in 2023 to watch Carlos defeat Novak Djokovic in the gentlemen’s singles final. Following the Spanish player's win that year,  Casa de S.M. el Rey wrote on X (translated to English): “Dreaming and playing like a number one. This is how you have become the champion of @Wimbledon 2023. Congratulations, @carlosalcaraz!”

Also in the royal box that day were the Prince and Princess of Wales, as well as Princess Charlotte and Prince George.

Catherine, who is patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, made her first appearance at this year’s tournament on Saturday, attending the ladies' singles final between the United States' Amanda Anisimova and Poland's Iga Świątek.

Her Royal Highness returned to Wimbledon on Sunday for the gentlemen’s singles final, joined by Prince William, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. Catherine and her daughter watched Carlos win the Wimbledon gentlemen's singles title last year. After Carlos' win in 2024, the Princess of Wales told the Spanish tennis star that Charlotte had been cheering him on.
