Princess Sofia and Prince Carl Philip of Sweden have shared the first photo of their newborn daughter, Princess Ines Marie Lilian Silvia, with her three doting big brothers: Prince Alexander, 8, Prince Gabriel, 7, and Prince Julian, 3. Two new pictures featuring the royal baby were posted on the Prince Couple's Instagram account on Wednesday.

One sweet image shows the couple's firstborn, Prince Alexander, holding his little sister, while Prince Gabriel held one of Ines' hands and Prince Julian sweetly placed a hand on his baby sister's head. Sofia and Carl Philip also included a tender snapshot of their youngest son, Julian, kissing Ines' forehead.

"It was a perfect little quartet♥️," the images were captioned (translated to English). "A big and warm thank you for all the nice congratulations to our little Ines💕."

Princess Beatrice's husband Edo Mapelli Mozzi, who welcomed his second daughter, Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi, last month, commented on the post, "❤️ congratulations."

Sofia and Carl Philip's daughter was born on Feb. 7 at Danderyd Hospital in Stockholm. Following the birth of his baby girl, Carl Philip said (translated to English), "We are happy to welcome our newborn daughter into the world. The big brothers are now looking forward to getting to know their new little sister."

The little Princess' name was revealed on Monday. The baby's paternal grandfather King Carl XVI Gustaf apologized after getting his newborn's grandchild's name wrong during the Council of State at the Royal Palace. The Swedish Royal Court's Director of Information, Margareta Thorgren, told Svensk Damtidning (translated to English), "The King is very sorry that he said the wrong name. The reason he said the wrong name is that the names were kept secret until just before the council, even from the King."

Princess Ines is currently eighth in line to the Swedish throne. Like her big brothers, she is a member of the royal family but not of the royal house. The King of Sweden removed Carl Philip and Princess Madeleine's respective children from the Royal House back in 2019.

Months before Ines' arrival, Princess Sofia told Vogue Scandinavia that she "always, always, always dreamt of a family." She shared, "It’s one of my biggest goals in life. Not everyone has that – I had that."

“Both me and my husband come from a family of five – with three kids – so we thought that that would be a good number, and we felt quite satisfied with that," Sofia continued. "But, gratefully, there’s a bonus on the way. We feel very humble and grateful. It was maybe not in the plan, but now we are very, very excited. Especially the kids.”
