King Frederik of Denmark's nephew Count Felix of Monpezat is single. The 22 year old's mother, Alexandra, Countess of Frederiksborg, confirmed to Billed Bladet via her press advisor that her younger son and actress Mie Sofía Elers have split.

Mie Sofía told Se og Hør, in a report published on Tuesday, that she and Felix "haven't been together for a few months now." While the actress did not reveal who ended the relationship, she said (translated to English), "I have nothing else to say except that I only have good memories of the time we had together, and I wish him all the best!"

Se og Hør reported in July 2023 that Felix had been spotted with a "new flame" in Spain during a holiday with his mother and his older brother Count Nikolai. Last February, Alexandra's press advisor confirmed to Billed Bladet that her son Felix and Mie Sofía were dating. According to the actress' website, she was born in Pucon, Chile to a Chilean mother and a Danish father, and attended the Copenhagen Film and Theatre School, before moving to Madrid to study at the Central de Cine acting academy.

Months after her relationship with Felix was confirmed, Mie Sofía spoke with B.T. about receiving hateful messages, threats of violence and fake profiles pretending to be her. She said, "About a year ago, I started receiving hateful messages on my social media accounts. I chose to ignore it until it escalated and these profiles started contacting my friends, family, and followers on social media."

Mie Sofía added, "Receiving hate can be ignored to a certain extent, but harassment, photo manipulation and spreading malicious lies are far more harmful." She pointed out that the harassment had "also spread to platforms like YouTube. They use AI and Photoshop to alter my photos and create fake profiles to contact people. They even target my family with hateful content."

Mie Sofía shared that many of the messages called for violence against her, and she estimated at the time that there were "around 20 different accounts created to harass her," per B.T.

Felix is Prince Joachim of Denmark's second son from his first marriage to Alexandra. King Frederik's younger brother also shares son Count Nikolai with his first wife, and two kids, Count Henrik and Countess Athena, with his second wife, Princess Marie.

Per the Danish Royal House's website, Felix began his International Shipping and Trade education at Copenhagen Business School in 2022. He is currently seventh in line to the Danish throne. His and his siblings' Prince and Princess titles were discontinued at the start of 2023. It was their grandmother Queen Margrethe’s decision to change their titles. When the decision was announced in September 2022, the Danish House explained that the Queen wished “to create the framework for the four grandchildren to be able to shape their own lives to a much greater extent without being limited by the special considerations and duties that a formal affiliation with the Royal House of Denmark as an institution involves.”
