Bon voyage and buon appetito! Eataly is setting sail this spring on board MSC Cruises' newest flagship. MSC World America will be home to the only Eataly restaurant at sea.

Described as "a celebration of Italian culture and tradition, with a passion that extends beyond the menu," the eatery will offer some of the brand’s beloved dishes, as well as exclusive items that are only available on board the new ship. According to MSC, guests can expect "unparalleled ingredient selection carefully sourced from Italian suppliers" and "freshly made pasta crafted on-site."

"As an international cruise line with a strong European heritage, we are committed to taking our guests on a gastronomic journey of discovery with the onboard dining experience as we believe that the best memories are made when sharing good food together," Bernhard Stacher, Vice President of Global Hotel Operations at MSC Cruises, said in a previous press release.

"MSC World America stays true to this philosophy, which is why we have partnered with Eataly – an emblem of Made in Italy and Italian culinary artistry," Bernhard continued. "We share a passion for high-quality, authentic food made with fresh ingredients and together we are creating a unique experience that can only be enjoyed on board MSC World America."

In addition to Eataly, the new ship will feature five other specialty restaurants: Kaito Sushi Bar, Kaito Teppanyaki, Butcher's Cut steakhouse, Hola! Tacos & Cantina, and Paxos Greek Restaurant. There will be a total of 19 dining venues. Guests on board MSC World America can also look forward to 20 pools and whirlpools, the Jaw Drop (an 11-story dry slide), a high trail ropes course, an aquapark, the Cliffhanger attraction, bumper cars, plus the debut of Dirty Dancing in Concert. Steve Leatham, Vice President of Entertainment at MSC Cruises, has teased that Dirty Dancing in Concert and Queen Symphonic "will be unlike anything previously seen on our ships, resonating with both American and international audiences," adding, "These are just the beginning of our extensive entertainment options, which include an adults-only Comedy Club, authentic Dueling Pianos, and interactive family game shows. The onboard entertainment truly must be seen to be believed.”
