Lolita Taub is a venture capitalist and partner at Ganas Ventures, the company that she founded. Over the years, Lolita has led and guided hundreds of businessmen and women of all ages and experience levels, helping them move forward and making it easier for them to achieve their goals.

Lolita comes from a Mexican family, with that part of herself playing a key part in her vision and the way she carries her business. Her parents immigrated to the US before she was born, hoping to give their family a better life. Lolita was born in Los Angeles, becoming the first generation of her family to grow up in the US. The name of her company has Mexican roots and comes from the phrase "Echale ganas," which roughly translates to "Don't give up" or "Work hard for it."

"I know that desire that we have as Latinos. That's why my company is called Ganas Ventures," she said in an interview with World Game Changers. Lolita studied International Relations and Global Finance at the University of Southern California. She also acquired an MBA from the IE Business School in Spain.

Lolita began her career while working in consulting and sales in companies like IBM and Cisco, later venturing into startups and risk capital. She became an investor in companies like Lightspeed, Backstage Capital, K Fund, Indie.vc, and Portfolia. She co-founded The Community Fund and has invested in Brex and AngelList, among other major companies.

"When you build something, you want to open doors for others. I want to see more women investors."

Lolita has over 18 years of experience working with technological ecosystems in Silicon Valley, and makes it her mission to invest in companies led by women, minorities, and LGBTQ+ people. Her career began as a sales executive, offering hardware, software, and other services to different companies. Through her years in the business, she discovered that Latin companies faced a greater challenge when it came to collecting funds.

Ganas Venture invests in companies that are still at a seed level, meaning that they're in their first stages, when the idea of the business has not fully developed yet. Through her company, Lolita wants to help these companies and entrepreneurs collect the funds and support they need, offering them assessment and investments from $100 million to help them grow as best and efficiently as possible.

As of this writing, Ganas Ventures has a roster of businesses located in the US and Latin America, with 50% of them led by Latinos. Some of these startups include Papaya, Storybook App, Distribute, Avify, Zocalo Health, and more. Lolita's work has been recognized by publications like Forbes, Inc Magazine, and Nasdaq, with all praising her commitment to investing in businesses that need help.

"I'm here to support bold founders and build communities that grow as they develop."

Aside from her work in investments, Lolita is also a seasoned speaker at conferences and events, teaching others about risk capital, emerging markets, and more. She's participated in notorious events like TEDx, SXSW, and more.

In 2025, she participated in the Ganas Global Tour, connecting with founders from locations like Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Jordan, Pakistan, Japan, the Philippines, and more, helping them all take a step closer to their dream.
