A series of unexpected events can lead to a personal crisis, making us question our lives and our purpose; this is the ideal moment to enact a shift. Margarita Pasos is the perfect example of that. Born in Colombia, Pasos has dedicated her career to helping thousands of people unearth the best versions of themselves, improving holistically.

Margarita was born in Medellín, Colombia, and moved to Miami at a young age to pursue her career in college. Years later, she settled in Nicaragua, where she acquired some fame thanks to her work on television. In 2001, she premiered her show "Margarita, Te Voy a Contar," which became a success on Nicaraguan television and later on in the United States and Latin America.

The show ended in 2013, but years before that, Margarita faced a situation that changed her physical, mental, and emotional path. "A very intense moment occurred when I had a panic attack in an airport that resulted in a severe depression and panic disorder. That's how it was diagnosed. My condition didn't allow me to leave the house," she told Semana.

"It was hard for me to swallow; I lost a lot of weight in less than three weeks. I found my purpose when I came out of that episode in my life."

As a result, Margarita sought help to get better and became passionate about the topic of mental health, finding her life's purpose. The experience resulted in her starting to study how the mind works, and in trying to understand the body's physical and emotional reactions to stressful experiences. "I told myself: 'Ok, I no longer just want to talk about sales, income, success, and time management. Now I want to talk about intelligence and emotions.'"

"Oprah Winfrey once said that a lot of people search for their purpose, and for others, the purpose hits them like a truck. Well, mine hit me."

In the digital world, Margarita has found a new way to connect with people, primarily through her YouTube channel, where viewers can see her experiences and find ways to reach out and communicate with her. In addition to her podcast and show, "Pasos al Éxito," she published the book "Yo Pude, ¡Tú Puedes!"

In 2019, her work as a communicator earned her an award from the National Assembly of Nicaragua for promoting Nicaraguan culture through her interview program.

Her presence on traditional television also stands out in shows like "Un Nuevo Día" (now called "Hoy Día"), where she has been a special guest, offering motivational advice to viewers of all sorts. Furthermore, her work alongside Brian Tracy has put her on the map in the world of motivation and success psychology.

One of her most impactful projects has been the work she's done with her daughter, Sofía Pasos, with the two collaborating on the podcast Yo Pude Tú Puedes. The podcast addresses the impact of having a positive mindset and people's well-being and productivity.

"Have you ever regretted something you said or did when angry? That's called emotional hijacking, and we've all experienced it. The key is not to act from anger, but to wait until the rational brain takes control again."

Her success story continues to unfold. Her TEDx talk, "Cambia tu Mente, Cambia Tu Vida," has surpassed nine million views, reaching companies and individuals worldwide determined to change their inner world to improve their external ones. The community she's created continues to grow, motivating more and more people to become the best versions of themselves.
