Born in Mexico City on July 4, 1994, Natalia Boneta is the second child of Astrid Boneta and Lauro González. Following in her older brother’s footsteps, the beloved Mexican actor Diego Boneta, Natalia tried her hand at modeling during her childhood and teen years, quickly gaining popularity thanks to her beauty. However, her passion for finance led her to pursue the dream of a lifetime: to become a major player on Wall Street.

In 2012, during the height of the social media boom, Diego's little sister made her Instagram debut. Today, she has over 100,000 followers, with whom she shared her journey at Duke University, from which she graduated with honors in 2019. At that time, she began writing her story of success.

After completing her studies in finance, Natalia entered the competitive world of Wall Street, where she had to learn how to navigate a male-dominated environment. In 2020, just a year after finishing college, she gave a candid interview to ¡HOLA! TV, sharing how vital her family has been in reaching her goals.

“Working in a world of ‘wolves,’ as a woman, what has helped me the most are the lessons from the women in my life, from my grandmothers to my mom.”

Natalia, the middle child of the Boneta family, acknowledged that the strength passed down by the women in her family helped her develop confidence and avoid being intimidated by the atmosphere of Wall Street, where she’s made the most out of being one of the few women working on the stock exchange floor each day: “I love being one of the many women in a male-dominated world and being able to accomplish whatever’s put in front of me,” she said.

It was thanks to her mother that Natalia discovered her love for finance. Astrid also worked in the industry early in her career, a path her daughter is now following and reshaping.

“What I’ve learned most from my mom is to be a good person and a professional woman. She worked in the same field I’m in now. I’ve learned a lot from her, but I still have a lot to learn.”

In 2021, Natalia told ¡HOLA! Américas, in an exclusive interview, all about the turn her career took when she became a talent executive at the Cameo app, a new adventure that she found exciting from the start:

“Even though change can be scary at first, I love challenges and welcome them with open arms,” she said.

With this new job, Natalia made the leap from finance to the entertainment world, an industry that she was somewhat familiar with due to her early modeling experience, yet one that was still a whole new experience for her. Regarding this change, she said, "Yes, from finance to tech. It’s a big shift, but in some way, I’ve always been connected to the entertainment world since I was a kid.”

As a successful Latina in the U.S., Natalia understands how important it is for our community to see more women rising and holding key positions in any field.
