Kaia Gerber brought a touch of sultry sophistication to Vas J. Morgan and Michael Braun’s star-studded holiday party in Los Angeles on Thursday night, turning heads in a moody, lingerie-inspired look.
The 24-year-old supermodel stepped out in a sheer black lace bodysuit tucked into a thigh-grazing black mini skirt, accented with brown leather detailing at the hem. She completed the ensemble with sheer black tights, bow-accented ballet flats, and a standout Gucci Jackie 1961 bag in a festive burgundy shade.
The setting was as glamorous as the outfits. The party took place near the iconic Chateau Marmont and attracted an A-list crowd, including Kim Kardashian, Nicky Hilton, Sara Sampaio, and Brooks Nader.
Kardashian arrived in an all-black ensemble featuring a low-cut bra top beneath a figure-hugging silk dress, topping off the look with loose waves and a voluminous furry coat.
Hilton chose a sparkly, slightly sheer black gown with a high slit, pairing it with a fluffy jacket for extra drama. The event was less about traditional holiday sweaters and more a playground for high-fashion risk-taking, and Gerber’s ensemble fit right in.
The supermodel also recently collaborated with Mango on a lace bodysuit, which she has yet to debut publicly. For this outing, she paired the top with a Paloma Wool mini skirt.
This time, however, she swapped her usual Philana bag from Paloma Wool for Gucci’s Jackie 1961. Its rich burgundy hue added a touch of holiday cheer to her otherwise monochromatic look, creating a perfect contrast to her edgy yet refined ensemble.
The model’s style evolution continues to inspire her fans online. From reviving Hervé Léger bandage dresses, once iconic on her mother, Cindy Crawford, to embracing romantic Chloé dresses and sculptural Marc Jacobs creations, Gerber navigates fashion eras with effortless flair.
Kaia has long embraced her fashion heritage, openly paying homage to her mother, Cindy Crawford. Last year at the Toronto International Film Festival, the model made headlines for recreating one of her mother’s most iconic red carpet looks.
Kaia was candid about the differences between her and her supermodel mother. “I also recreated my mom’s white Hervé Léger dress and wore it to a film festival last year, but my mom is built very differently than I am and she looked so sexy in it. She has these beautiful boobs and a butt, and I was given my father’s body, which I’m grateful for, but it’s giving something different,” she told The Sunday Times.
From the early days, she recalls the image of her mother striding down the Freedom! ’90 Versace runway alongside Linda Evangelista, Naomi Campbell, and Christy Turlington as being “so ingrained in my mind.”
Cindy’s lessons go beyond glamour, as her advice shaped Kaia’s own approach to dressing. “I learnt from my mom that less is more, like, before you leave the house, take one thing off. I’m not an accessories person,” Kaia shared, revealing that elegance, balance, and restraint are a family trait.
