Sofía Vergara has had no shortage of head-turning fashion moments this season, but her latest set of Instagram photos might be her most striking. The actress stepped out for a close friend's birthday party wearing a white silk Laura Basci gown that channeled full lingerie-as-eveningwear glam.

Thin straps, a sweetheart neckline, and sheer lace paneling at the waist and thigh turned the look into something worthy of its own spotlight, and judging by the comments on her feed, her followers agreed.

While her makeup, which included dark pink lipstick, smokier eyeshadow, and light blush, kept the sultry mood going. Following the positive comments, it was clear she had once again mastered the art of slipping luxe lingerie silhouettes into party attire.

Her latest showstopping moment arrives as she continues a streak of quietly dazzling style. Just days earlier, the star shared another Instagram carousel, this time showing off her fall holiday look.

Vergara’s 34-year-old son, Manolo Gonzalez Vergara, appeared in her holiday post, posing alongside her and the rest of their family.

For a seasonal gathering, Vergara wore a coordinated two-piece in warm brown tones. The outfit paired a racerback tank with a pencil skirt that floated above her ankle with a sheer tulle hem. Chunky gold hoops, a necklace, and sparkly silver criss-cross pumps added just enough glamour without overwhelming the look.

But it was her most recent white silk dress that reminded fans why they’ve long crowned her queen of lingerie dressing.

She kept her hair straight with a middle part and leaned into a bronze and mauve smoky eye, winged liner, rosy blush, mauve lipstick, and a sparkly white manicure.

The star’s Thanksgiving festivities were also a family affair. Vergara’s 34-year-old son, Manolo Gonzalez Vergara, appeared in her holiday post, posing alongside her and the rest of their family. It was a rare appearance for the duo, who remain close. She shares Manolo with her ex-husband Joe Gonzalez, whom she married in 1991 before their 1993 divorce.

“I'd rather be real about what works for me than set unrealistic beauty standards," Sofía Vergara said.

Vergara has always been admired for her candor, especially among Latinas who grew up absorbing quietly strict beauty expectations.

“Like most women, there was a point when I felt nervous about getting older, but with time, I realized it wasn't something to fear, it's a privilege, it's new to me.” She also spoke about prioritizing both emotional and physical care, saying aging “means celebrating taking care of my skin, my body, and my spirit.”

Vergara has always been admired for her candor, especially among Latinas who grew up absorbing quietly strict beauty expectations. She noted cultural pressures highlighted in a 2024 Pew Research Center report, which found that 71 percent of Latinas ages 18 to 29 feel pressure to “be beautiful.”

Vergara openly embraces everything from lasers to microneedling to Botox.

However, she insists that beauty must feel personal, not prescriptive. “Latina women love beauty and take pride in putting in the effort to look and feel our best,” she said. While acknowledging the pressure, she added that it's important for women to define beauty for themselves and embrace what makes them feel “confident, powerful, and authentically themselves.”

Her transparency extends to cosmetic treatments. Vergara openly embraces everything from lasers to microneedling to Botox, though she avoids heavy fillers and isn’t opposed to plastic surgery, she simply hasn’t had the downtime for it.

“Being transparent about what I do helps take away the mystery around it, and it shows that looking good and feeling good takes effort, and that's OK,” she said. “I'd rather be real about what works for me than set unrealistic beauty standards.”
