It’s been a while since Catherine Zeta-Jones made a splash at the Emmys, but her grand return to the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards was worth the wait. The 55-year-old Welsh actress brought a heavy dose of drama and allure to the red carpet on Sunday evening at Los Angeles’s Peacock Theater.
The 'Wednesday' star turned heads in a jaw-dropping Yara Shoemaker Couture gown, handpicked from the designer's Fall/Winter 2025 collection.
The look featured a strapless, form-fitting black dress with a waist-cinching corseted bodice, sheer fan-shaped panels, and intricate lace appliqué placed with precision.
A floor-length beaded skirt completed the design, radiating gothic sophistication. Her accessories elevated the entire look, with Stephen Silver Fine Jewelry, she sparkled in chandelier-style marquise-cut diamond earrings, a three-stone ring, and a 5.59-carat oval bypass ring, totaling over 35 carats of diamonds.
She kept her beauty glam classic and sultry with her signature black eyeliner, a polished brown lip, and long, dark waves parted down the middle.
Michael Douglas, has previously joined her on the Emmy red carpet, most recently in 2021 and 2019, but Zeta-Jones opted to attend solo this time. Inside the ceremony, she reunited with 'Wednesday' co-stars, including Jenna Ortega, who plays her daughter in the hit Netflix series.
Zeta-Jones’s return to the Emmys comes after a four-year hiatus from the event. Her previous appearances were just as memorable. In 2019, she debuted at the ceremony alongside Douglas in a bold, hot-pink Georges Hobeika gown complete with an asymmetrical neckline, thigh-high slit, and matching cape.
She returned in 2021 in a deep merlot Cristina Ottaviano gown with a high slit and diamonds layered over a strapless bodice. Both looks were emblematic of her fearless red carpet style.
This year, however, the sheer boldness of her gown set a new bar for Emmys glamour. The Oscar-winner also took the stage as one of the night’s presenters, joining a lineup that included Jennifer Coolidge, Angela Bassett, Eric Dane, Mariska Hargitay, Elizabeth Banks, and Ayo Edebiri, among others.
