The Met Gala is underway in New York, with the biggest names in fashion and entertainment gathering at the Metropolitan Museum of Art for the exclusive event. This year’s theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” explores the legacy of Black fashion and dandyism. The dress code? “Tailored for You.” And among the A-list guests was, of course, the one and only Madonna.
The 66-year-old pop legend was one of the best-dressed of the night. She honored the tailor-made theme in an all-white tuxedo by Haider Ackermann for Tom Ford. The look was complete with a matching bow tie, white boutonnière, and sheer embroidered gloves - fierce, polished, and unapologetically Madonna.
Her boldest accessory? A massive cigar. While smoking isn't allowed on the Met’s blue carpet (for good reason), Madonna struck a pose with it like a pro, adding a rebellious edge to the refined ensemble.
She paired the look with a red lip, black eyeliner, and natural shadow - a glam nod to her signature style. With her appearance always under a microscope, there is no denying that she looks incredible.

Madonna has been happy in love with her boyfriend Akeem Morris, who also made his debut at the event as her guest. While he did not walk up the stairs with the living legend, he met her at the top for a photo op.
The former soccer player from Jamaica just celebrated his 29th birthday, with Madonna dedicating a sweet post to him on Instagram, calling him her “favorite Taurus.”

This year’s theme was inspired by Monica L. Miller’s 2009 book Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity. In the 18th century, Black men used fashion as a form of resistance and self-expression in the face of racism and oppression. Dandies embraced tailored suits, bold accessories, and meticulous grooming to challenge stereotypes and reclaim their dignity.
Madonna’s sharply tailored tuxedo was a nod to that history, honoring the spirit of resistance, reinvention, and radical style. She's long championed love, peace, and self-expression, and this year’s Met look was no exception: tailored, timeless, and totally Madonna.
