Shakira is busy with her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, but the Colombian singer took a break from her busy schedule to attend the famous Met Gala.
The 48-year-old icon attended the biggest night in fashion in one of the most colorful looks, wearing a pink bubblegum gown with cut-outs and a long train by Prabal Gurung.
Shaki arrived on the blue carpet with Gurung, making sure his design looked perfect for the photos. She completed the pink look with a beautiful tear-drop-shaped diamond pendant and black lace polka dot gloves with pink details.
She walked behind Usher and his wife, Jenn Goicoechea, and the singers said hello to each other, making for a sweet photo opportunity.
Shakira took her time walking up the steps, stopping for interviews along the way, something not all attendees do. She told E! News the gown "fit like a glove almost instantly" and opened up about her busy tour schedule saying, "This is my only chance to celebrate before I go back on the road."
This year's theme is "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” exploring the legacy of Black men in fashion, celebrating sharp tailoring, resistance through style, and cultural storytelling.
Shakira seemed to honor the theme with a look tailor-made to her, hugging her famous curves perfectly. There has been some pushback about her look on social media, with people saying the look didn't seem to fit with the theme. People were also hoping to see her hair in a different style, but her long curly locks are a part of her iconic look.

It marks the second Met Gala for Shakira, who made her debut in 2024 wearing a red Carolina Herrera dress.
She will have a few days to recover after the event before her next show on May 13 at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina.
