The hype surrounding the reopening of the newly renovated Estadio Banorte, the historic stadium that was known as Estadio Azteca, is taking over. Fans are gearing up for a moment Mexico has literally never seen: on March 28, 2026, Cristiano Ronaldo is finally stepping onto Mexican soil. He’ll land in CDMX with Portugal’s national team for a friendly that doubles as the big comeback of the Coloso de Santa Úrsula. Everything is pointing to this being one of the memorable sporting nights the country has had in years,  not just because of the superstar on the field, but because the stadium itself is getting a whole new rebirth.

How the presale works and who gets first dibs

Femexfut confirmed that the presale will be exclusively for Banorte customers, who get priority access from December 10–12, 2025. Cardholders can also pay in 5 or 10 interest-free monthly installments. It's their way of preparing for the high-demand chaos bound to come with Ronaldo’s arrival.

One of the biggest surprises is the ticketing switch-up: “This time, the sale will not be handled through Ticketmaster, but through the online ticketing service Fanki,” adding a twist to the event’s logistics. To get into the presale, fans need to make an account first with all the usual good stuff: email, full name, age, and then wait for their invitation email.
