Excitement is building as the Miss Universe Organization (MUO) fine tunes the details for the much anticipated Miss Universe 2025 final.
On November 21st, Thailand will host the global event where women from more than 100 countries will compete for the crown currently held by Victoria Kjær Theilvig. With the energy rising and preparations underway, MUO has begun sharing more about what to expect on the big night.
While the final show will have the world’s eyes on the contestants, a big part of the competition happens behind the scenes in the days leading up to the coronation. This is when judges get to know the candidates, a pivotal stage where each contestant’s personality should shine through and proves decisive in winning the crown.
With that in mind, MUO announced this weekend that the 74th edition of the pageant will include the National Costume Competition on November 19th at 1:00 p.m. local time.
After showcasing their country’s creativity and pride on stage, the contestants will quickly shift gears, as the Preliminary Competition is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. that same evening.
Contestants Still to Be Announced
Although time is ticking, some countries have yet to crown their representative.
Greece and Nepal will announce their candidates on September 24th, South Korea on September 25th, El Salvador on September 26th, Switzerland on September 27th, Colombia and the U.S. Virgin Islands on September 28th, and Vietnam on September 30th.
Meanwhile, Romania, Ireland, Russia, Moldova, Singapore, Ghana, Slovakia, the United States, and South Africa will select their contestants throughout October. The final announcements will be made by October 25th, just under a month before the grand finale in Thailand.
