The excitement for Coachella 2025 has been more intense as the two highly anticipated weekends approach, but not without a few unexpected bumps. With just a week to go until the festival starts, major changes have hit the lineup, including last-minute cancellations from FKA Twigs, Anitta, and Gel.

While many fans were excited at the initial announcement of FKA twigs, Anitta, and Gel, things have taken an unexpected turn. FKA Twigs had to cancel her performances due to visa issues related to her Eusexua tour, which left her unable to perform at Coachella.

Twigs clarified the situation in a post, stating, “Production did not fill out the correct paperwork" in a timely manner, leaving fans who were looking forward to attending the North American tour dates, disappointed.

Hardcore band Gel announced their breakup, canceling their performance. Meanwhile, Brazilian pop sensation Anitta also announced that she would no longer be performing at Coachella, leaving fans to wonder about the “unexpected personal reasons” behind her withdrawal.

Despite the lineup shake-up, Coachella organizers acted quickly to bring in big names like Ed Sheeran and Weezer, ensuring that this year’s festival will still be filled with incredible performances.
