Christian Nodal is used to rumors about his personal life, but the constant speculation and the online battles that it sparks among fans have prompted him to speak out. This week, Nodal took to his social media to share a clear request: stop engaging with false reports and online negativity.
Nodal shared an appreciative message to his fans, with him acknowledging their loyalty and the fact that they've been supporting him on every stage of his life. “I’m incredibly grateful for everything you do for me. You know I love you with all my heart,” he said.
He then revealed the reason why he was sharing a message, asking fans to stop engaging with gossip and online provocations. “All the bad, ugly, negative stuff, the rumors, please ignore it,” he said. “Don’t fight, don’t defend, don’t engage. When you see something stupid, just ignore it.”
While acknowledging how frustrating it can be to see rumors and hate spread across social media, Nodal, 27, encouraged fans to protect their peace. “I know they make it hard sometimes. When they’re not inventing one thing, they’re inventing another,” he said. “But my heart and my vision aren’t there, and I want it to be the same for you. Let’s focus on the good things and enjoy great music.”
Reports of low ticket sales and renewed speculation
Nodal’s message arrives amid recent reports about his upcoming tour. According to the Argentine publication Infobae, less than 30% of tickets have reportedly been sold for his May 1 concert in Chile.
At the same time, speculation about his personal life has resurfaced following brief comments that were made by Esmeralda Camacho, a violinist who performs with Nodal’s band. Speaking to Ventaneando, Camacho laughed off questions about her relationship with Nodal and his wife, Ángela Aguilar.
“Yes, yes—everything’s great,” she said, before adding with a smile, “I’m going to get in trouble.”
The comment was interpreted by some viewers as Camacho suggesting that she couldn't elaborate further due to contractual obligations with the couple.
A family moment amid the noise
Amid rumors of tension within his family, Nodal recently appeared alongside his father, Jaime González, in a post teasing his upcoming album. “We’ve already selected the tracks for @nodal’s new album—very soon you’ll hear this musical gem,” read the caption, which was accompanied by a video showing Nodal, his father, and his creative team in the studio.
