Everyone has been jumping on the 2016 trend, sharing throwbacks from what a lot of people are calling the last good year. On Monday, Gisele Bündchen jumped on the trend, sharing her own personal time capsule. At the time, the Brazilian supermodel was married to Tom Brady, but the NFL star didn't make the cut.
Tom and Bündchen were married from 2009 to 2022, but the New England Patriots star was not included in her post. Which isn't that surprising, considering she is married to another man. Instead, Bündchen centered the year around motherhood, growth, and moments that shaped her internally, spotlighting photos of their two children, Benjamin and Vivian.
“Sometimes it’s good to slow down, look back, and notice how far we’ve come,” she wrote. The model didn't include Brady, but she didn't mention love, "2016 shaped me in ways I didn’t fully understand at the time. There were highs and lows. I prayed with my whole heart, learned as I went, and loved deeply."
She described this spiritual and expansive chapter of her life as one filled with prayer, learning, and love. Professionally, she represented Brazil at the Olympic Opening Ceremony, a moment she called unforgettable.
Personally, it was intimate and grounding, from watching Vivian do her “own little runway walk” to planting her first tree with her children, traveling through the Amazon and the pyramids of Teotihuacan, and launching her photography book in New York.
While Brady didn't make the cut, there doesn't seem to be any animosity between the couple, at least for the mother of three. In 2023, she said she wanted nothing but the best for him.
“Listen, I have always cheered for him, and I would continue forever,” she told Vanity Fair. “If there’s one person I want to be the happiest in the world, it’s him… I want all his dreams to come true.”

Now married to Joaquim Valente, the Brazilian icon has been living her best life with their baby. Last week, they celebrated the toddler's first birthday and the model shared a rare gallery with never-before-seen photos.
Brady, meanwhile, has been making headlines with his bachelor's life. His friend Gronk recently said the quarterback was going out "every weekend.
He recently went viral with Alix Earle in St Barths, although sources told TMZ they did not hook up.
There are also rumors that he and Irina Shayk are in a "situationship."
