Victoria Beckham arrived in Paris at a moment when her professional life was reaching a new peak and her personal life was under intense public scrutiny.
Draped in a sleek, figure-hugging black gown with thigh-high slits, the designer stepped into the French capital not just as a fashion fixture, but as an honoree.
For the milestone evening, Beckham leaned into her signature brand of polished minimalism. She wore a long-sleeved black gown that hugged her frame. The high neckline and sharp tailoring emphasized clean lines, while her styling remained deliberately pared back.
She finished the look with peep-toe heels and a structured Hermès handbag, her ombré hair worn in soft waves, and her makeup kept classic with a smoky eye, defined nude lips, and a subtle wash of blush.
On January 26, Victoria Beckham was officially named a Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters, one of France’s most prestigious cultural distinctions, recognizing her impact on fashion both at home and internationally.
The following day, Beckham reflected on the honor with a sense of gratitude that extended beyond the ceremony itself. Sharing a carousel of images from the evening on Instagram, she wrote simply, “I couldn’t be more grateful. Merci.”
The post featured her husband, David Beckham, and three of their four children, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper, who stood beside her at the Ministry of Culture during the intimate event.
The family appearance was notable. It marked their first public outing together since their eldest son, Brooklyn Peltz Beckham, made explosive claims about his estrangement from his parents earlier this month.
Inside the historic Parisian venue, the focus remained on Victoria’s decades-long fashion journey and the support system she credited for helping her build her namesake brand.
“I have always deeply admired the French aesthetic and the seriousness with which it treats fashion: as a form of art,” Beckham wrote in an earlier post acknowledging the honor. “So to be recognized here and embraced in this way, is a profound privilege.”
She went on to thank French Minister of Culture Rachida Dati, her business partners, and her family, reserving special praise for David. “My sincere thanks to the French Minister of Culture, Rachida Dati for this honour.
Thank you also to business partners who believed in me, my family, and especially David, my husband, and original investor. I couldn’t be more grateful, you are my everything xx.”
David, for his part, returned the admiration publicly. In his own Instagram tribute, he praised his wife’s achievements, writing, “We are so proud of you and all that you have achieved @victoriabeckham Being named a Chevalière de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Ministry of Culture… nobody deserves it more than you x We love you.”
