Italian influencer and businesswoman Chiara Ferragni, charged for aggravated fraud in a case linked to a Pandoro charity initiative, arrives in the Milan Courthouse in Milan, on January 14, 2026.

The long-awaited news has arrived as she has been acquitted. Throughout this period, one of her strongest pillars has been her close friend Alice Campello, who today publicly shared her joy after learning the outcome.

“I’m very happy, the nightmare is over,” Ferragni said outside the Milan Court, which she entered early in the morning, “confident and calm,” to hear the ruling from judge Ilio Mannucci Pacini.

Throughout this period, one of her strongest pillars has been her close friend Alice Campello, who today publicly shared her joy after learning the outcome.

“I’m grateful to my lawyers and to my followers who have supported me for two years to get here. We’re all very emotional,” added the influencer, who had been facing a possible sentence of one year and eight months in prison for alleged aggravated fraud linked to the sale of pandoro cakes, traditional Italian Christmas desserts, promoted under her brand for charitable purposes.

To understand the scale of the story that now ends on a positive note for Ferragni, we have to go back to late 2022. At the time, she promoted a special edition Balocco pandoro said to be sold for charity.

Chiara Ferragni’s most difficult chapter has come to an end. Two years after the image crisis triggered by the so-called 'Pandoro Gate,' a scandal that crossed borders and is even studied at Spanish universities.

The campaign claimed that “Chiara Ferragni and Balocco support the Regina Margherita Hospital in Turin by funding the purchase of new equipment to advance therapeutic care for children with osteosarcoma and Ewing sarcoma.”

It later emerged that Balocco had made a donation to the hospital before the campaign launched and that Ferragni had been paid for the collaboration as a standard commercial job. The donation, therefore, was not tied to product sales.

As the controversy directly damaged her credibility online, it coincided with another personal upheaval, her high-profile separation from rapper Fedez, the father of her two children.

Complaints followed. Ferragni was fined for “unfair commercial practices” and announced a €1 million donation to the Regina Margherita Hospital. As the controversy directly damaged her credibility online, it coincided with another personal upheaval, her high-profile separation from rapper Fedez, the father of her two children.

The trial began in November 2025, during which Ferragni maintained her innocence, insisting she had acted in good faith and had not profited improperly.

Throughout a process that deeply affected her career, Ferragni was never short of support. Her inner circle stood by her during the darkest moments and today shares in her relief. Among them is Alice Campello, with whom Ferragni has shared many moments in recent years and who welcomed her to Spain during her lowest period.

Campello’s reaction was simple but powerful. She shared a heart emoji, saying everything that needed to be said.
