Ángela Aguilar and Christian Nodal are kicking off one of their most important years as a couple. The duo is counting down the days towards their long-awaited church wedding. After a year marked by professional success and public scrutiny, Aguilar and Nodal are welcoming 2026 by placing their focus on family, love, and each other.
On January 5, days into the New Year, Aguilar took to Instagram Stories to give her followers a glimpse of her mindset. In one of her videos, the 22-year-old singer rested her face on her hand while looking into the camera, showing off her striking engagement ring.
Moments later, she was joined by Nodal onscreen, with him looking happy and in high spirits. He then made some playful faces towards the camera and planted a kiss on Aguilar's cheek, drawing a smile.
The pair also shared images, including one showing Nodal’s tattooed hand over Aguilar's lap as the two sat at a table together. In front of them were a drink and a beige Hermès handbag.
Aguilar also shared highlights of her family gatherings, including an impromptu jam session, with her brother Leonardo playing the guitar and Aguilar and Nodal performing a duet from Nodal's most recent album. The family's patriarch and one of the biggest icons of the Regional Mexican genre, Pepe Aguilar, was also shown on camera, enjoying the performance.
Although Aguilar did not include a geotag in the post, details in the videos suggest the family may have been in Mexico —possibly at Rancho El Soyate in Zacatecas, the Aguilar family property where they often gather.

Over a year has passed since Aguilar and Nodal quietly tied the knot in a civil ceremony. The couple married in July 24, 2024, in an intimate celebration hosted at the Hacienda San Gabriel de las Palmas in Morelos, Mexico.
Fans had been awaiting news of their religious wedding. In November, Ángela finally confirmed the timeline. While speaking to fans after a concert in San Antonio, Texas, Aguilar revealed that their church ceremony will take place in May 2026.
“Come to my wedding," she said. "I’m getting married in May in the church.” Her words prompted surprise and excitement from the crowd, who cheered on her. When one fan asked to be a godparent, Aguilar laughed and said, “We’ll see if my husband lets you."
